The Old Hà Nội Notebook Collection
Hà Nội really is a timeless city, and with this notebook collection, we want to celebrate the history of the amazing capital of Vietnam! With designs using old images of Hà Nội, these notebooks will take you back in time
The Tram :
The tram in Hà Nội was built in the early 1900s during French colonization. Based on the model used in Saigon, each tram could transport several hundred passengers. After a golden age in the 1970s and ’80s, the lines closed one after another, disappearing by the end of the 20th century. Today, it has been replaced by many bus lines throughout Hà Nội, and a subway project is on its way!
Long Bien Bridge :
This amazing bridge was built between 1899 and 1902 during French colonization using materials from surrounding regions. The bridge has been through a lot, including heavy bombardment during the war. There are different lanes for use by cars, scooters and pedestrians so all can enjoy the amazing views from the bridge. A sunrise or sunset overlooking the Red River on the Long Bien Bridge is a must-see in Hà Nội!
Trà đá :
Trà đá is a traditional green tea in Vietnam that is usually served over a bit of ice. It is considered to be a street drink that connects everyone and is very popular here in Hà Nội! Like many teas we drink in Vietnam, it is good for the health and has medicinal virtues, so feel free to drink as much trà đá as you would like!
Calligraphy Man :
Chinese influence made calligraphy a significant part of Vietnamese culture. Dó paper is excellent for calligraphy because it absorbs the ink well and lasts for hundreds of years! Zó Project organizes calligraphy workshops, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to know more about this ancient tradition!
